Recent Vigils at Allen Street Gates
A group of folks from State College, wider Centre County, and elsewhere in Central Pennsylvania have gathered for three consecutive Wednesdays to hold candilight vigils in support of Cindy Sheehan, in support of all those across the globe who have lost loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan, as a reminder of the people's right peacefully to assemble and seek redress -- or for reasons they did not utter or put on a sign, responding bodily and perhaps spiritually to a need for a public space of reflection, respect, and remembrance.
